AAE Glass Filmed for "Today in America" with Terry Bradshaw
We had some fun yesterday as a film crew set up shop in the AAE Glass studio. "Today in America" is a show hosted by Terry Bradshaw with a focus on small businesses and individuals striving to make it today in America. While the show covers a broad range of subjects this particular segment is about the city of Cape Coral, Florida and how small businesses are having an impact on the recovery of one of the hardest hit areas after the housing bubble burst.
Cape Coral, Florida was undoubtedly hit the hardest when the housing bubble burst. Home prices have been negatively affected by hundreds of thousands of dollars from their height and the once growing population became stagnant as the jobs began leaving with the people. It has been a long struggle for the city that began years before AAE Glass took residence here. We have happily joined efforts to bring Cape Coral, Florida back to the beautiful destination it once was. Recent reports suggest the housing market is on the uptick and there is a noticeable increase in new businesses popping up all over the South Cape. We will be sure to share the dates and channels the show airs on when available. Thank you for all of the support, especially those who came out to take part in the filming yesterday.

AAE Glass Art Studio in Action
AAE Glass has been enjoying our newest addition to the studio...The vitrigraph kiln. Patty Gray broke it in for us and we have been playing with it since. Our Christmas list is long and we are hoping to add even more unique glass fusing equipment to build on the techniques Tanya Veit is teaching daily. You can check out some of our newest products that in some cases aren't intended for use in glass fusing, but thanks to Tanya taking the time to experiment with everyday products, we have developed some very unique alternatives.

AAE Glass needs to raise his bail by October 31st or Mark will be enjoying 3 hots and a cot for the foreseeable future. What are the charges you ask?

While this isn't real jail, Mark has been working with the Muscular Dystrophy Association in SW Florida to raise money for neuromuscular disease. The MDA has been raising money for this cause for years and it helps not only to fund medical research, but also helps families and individuals who live with this disease on a daily basis. If you can help, even just a little bit, Mark and the MDA would be so very thankful. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and will help many people and families who suffer from this debilitating disease. AAE Glass thanks you for your time and support and if you can help Mark out in anyway, especially with his wardrobe, everyone he comes in contact with will thank you.
