Holiday for Heroes at Sip & Send in Cape Coral, Florida

Every year Sip & Send in Cape Coral, Florida has an fundraiser to raise money for postage to send our troops much needed supplies for the holidays.  Saturday, November 17th, from 6-9pm world famous artist Leoma Lovegrove will be signing and numbering her limited edition posters for those who attend.  Art from several local artists will be displayed and auctioned off, including a few of Tanya's fused glass jewelry pendants.  There will be a wine tasting and delicious appetizers by Chef Peter and fabulous raffle prizes.  Come help support our troops as they need our help in receiving everyday supplies that we often take for granted.  We hope to see you there.

Josh Mazet at AAE Glass

AAE Glass is hosting renowned lampworker Josh Mazet this weekend in Cape Coral, Florida.  Josh has an extensive collection of beautiful glass vortex marbles, pendants, figurines and more.  AAE Glass is excited to expand techniques using the added torches.  We have had so much interest from local glass artists in this particular glass, we figured we would bring it to SW Florida.  A big thank you to Josh for taking the time to educate us and get us off on the right foot.

If anyone is in the market for a drill press, a friend of AAE Glass and an insider at Home Depot has strongly hinted that they will be marked down significantly on Black Friday. They are already affordable at $129.99, but you will most likely save more if you brave the crowds on Black Friday. 

Anyone who has taken Tanya Veit's Extreme Glass Fusing classes knows the possibilities that a drill press opens up for glass artists.  I assume all Home Depot's will have the same deals on Black Friday, but I am not sure.  I just wanted to pass along the info to those who were in the market.
