Layering Dichroic Glass For Fused Pendants by AAE Glass

Hello all! After so many e-mails asking how we get our backgrounds in our glass, we decided to create a video with some FREE tips and tricks on layering dichroic glass for your fused glass jewelry. We have just started selling Tanya's Dichroic Scrap packs on our site and they have been a big hit! See the video below on how to use these dichroic glass scrap packs...have fun!

    I have been layering patterned glass for a 3d effect and have had great results. Can't wait to try different colors and decals. I would like to see how you use a tile saw.

    Really looking forward to more, would love to see some cold working...have you thought of writing a book, there is really nothing out there! Love the colours you use, look forward to the packs and some more on layering (step by step on a pendant? you seem rushed in that video!)

    Great video! I wondered about your tile saw. I had one, but had to ban it from the studio, it was super dangerous and it just about busted me eardrums because it was so loud. We have a community studio, so I don't think I would let random people use it. So I got the Titan XT, it is expensive but I think in the long run it will pay off.

    Can't wait to see more vidoes!

    Great inspirational ideas for layering my Dichroic. It works so well and gives an added 3d effect to this wonderful glass. When using the accordian textured glass is it face up or down? I guess if you're using your decals the top layer always needs to be smooth. Looking forward to more great tutorials, especially one dealing with using up all those scrap pieces left over after cold working!

    Also, would like to see use of tile saw. The sales clerk was trying to sell me a dremel- like device with a diamond bit. Also, you speak of multiple firings. Is that due to having to fine tune the piece after a full fuse, grind and refire, and polish, or is it because you don't fire 5 layers to a full fuse but rather tack fuse first?
