Updates at AAE Glass Art Studio

There have been some major changes and additions to the AAE Glass Art Studio and AAEGlass.com in the past month.  If you have had a chance to visit the studio and/or store in the past few weeks, you have had the first look at the upgrades.

The state of the art AAE Glass teaching facility and cold working shop has been broken in by Tanya Veit, Kate MacLeod and Amanda Taylor thus far, with The Crackle King set to make an appearance next week.  Glass artists are getting a one of a kind glass fusing experience from some of the best teachers on the continent and they are loving it, as are we.

We have also added several new products to AAEGlass.com in the last few weeks.  With the 10 crates of Bullseye sheet glass we received yesterday, we have added Bullseye rods, irids, frit & powder, streakies & collage, special production and more  Visit the studio to pick out your glass or purchase online and we will ship it to you.

17 new pinch bail designs have been added as well.  Tanya has used these quality pinch bails in her own work for years with much success.
Last, but not least, I would like to introduce our biggest addition Marley Mae Veit, born December 28th.  Molly and Marley are doing great and we want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support and well wishes.  It is big life events such as this that help us realize what a large family we have in the glass art community.  Thank you again and with your help, AAE Glass is primed to make 2014 the best year in glass fusing yet!

Featured Artist Sandra L. Martin-Smith of Imaginative Creations

Imaginative Creations has just launched their ArtFire store and they are open for business.  Sandra L. Martin-Smith has sold her beautiful fused glass art in local galleries located throughout upstate New York for years with great success.  She has decided to make her glass art available online which will give her exposure across the globe.  Here is more about Sandra in her own words and we at AAE Glass wish her nothing but the best.

I started "IMAGINATIVE CREATIONS" in 2002 as an outlet for my handmade fused glass gifts and jewelry. My husband and I design and create all of our pieces individually with emphasis on originality, color, texture, and shape. Our work is featured at several local shops throughout central upstate NY, and we sell our products at approx. 40 craft shows annually. We love collaborating on our glass, and sharing our work with appreciative patrons and fellow artists. We are in a constant state of flux, and our techniques, materials, and processes are constantly evolving. This evolution by-product is the main source of our creativity, which has definitely increased the popularity of our original fused glass merchandise.

Featured Glass Artist Judy Seeger at Harbour View Gallery in Cape Coral, Florida

5789 Cape Harbour Dr. Suite 104
Cape Coral, Fl 33914
239-540-5789
The Harbour View Gallery at Cape Harbour is featuring glass artist, Judy Seeger in the month of January.  You are invited to meet the artist behind some of the most unique glass art in SW Florida on Tuesday, January 7th from 6-8pm.  The AAE Glass Art Studio has had the pleasure of working with Judy in the past and her fused glass art is beautiful and detailed.

Judy was born in Nebraska.  She lived in Lincoln and pursued a degree in Interior Design and Apparel/Textile Design while working many jobs.  Judy met her husband and married at the age of 27.  In 1990, she graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska.  Judy and her husband moved to Dallas, Texas to pursue their dreams.  Judy acquired her first job in the Textile Science field there, while her husband went back to college for a medical degree.  She was recruited by several companies that took them to Ohio, Florida and California and allowed her to travel the world.  Finally, they happily returned to Fort Myers Beach, Florida where Judy was able to work full time on her art.

Judy’s inspiration is primarily color; but also nature, water, fantasy and sea life.  Living on a barrier island next to the Gulf of Mexico and experiencing the consistently changing beaches and daily exposure to the foliage, gulf birds, fish and sea creatures keeps her constantly inspired.  She has a passion for contrast and combining abstract with real life.  Judy says, “Grouping and combining colors to make them stand out in creative and dramatic ways promotes excitement and brings beauty into the world.  The glitter and shine of glass as it catches and reflects light delights my eyes.  I hope it will bring you as much joy as it does me."

Please join us at the Harbour View Gallery for this memorable event!
